Alayna is the Executive Assistant and Investor Relations Admin for Gold Leaf Farming. She is dedicated to elevating the experience of the investors and providing exceptional support to the leadership team.
She graduated from California State University, Sacramento with a degree in Business Administration. She has spent the last 10 + years supporting executives in the Sacramento area.
Alice Catalano joined Gold Leaf Farming in 2024 with over 20 years of experience in the private equity real assets industry and currently serves as Head of Investor Relations, based in Greenwich, CT. In this capacity, she leads the firm’s fundraising, investor relations and strategic marketing efforts.
Prior to joining Gold Leaf, Alice was Managing Director of Investor Relations and Capital Formation for AmCap, a Connecticut based vertically integrated real estate private equity firm. Prior to that, she was a Managing Director at Sarona Asset Management, a leading impact investment firm focused on emerging markets She started her private equity career at NGP where she led fundraising for both energy and agribusiness private equity funds. In all of these roles she has led marketing and investor relations, assisting the firms in raising over $14B AUM across 12 funds in the real asset space.
Alice holds a B.S. in Finance and Real Estate from Northeastern University. She lives in Old Greenwich, CT and is active in the community working with Food Rescue USA, Swim Across America, the Alliance for Cancer Gene Therapy and many other local organizations.
Armando has been farming for over 35 years in the Central Valley. He has developed such a passion for farming and shares his wealth of knowledge to all those he encounters. Armando is a team player and has been a pillar in cultivating many partnerships within the farming industry that it has expanded many farming innovations. Currently, Armando is the Farm Manager for GLF7, GLF 11, GLF20 and GLF23.

Brandon is a Co-Founder and the Head of Farming of Gold Leaf Farming, where he leads the firm’s farming efforts. Brandon is a tree nut grower, manager, and consultant and has overseen approximately 20,000 acres of crops throughout California in his career.
Before founding GLF, Brandon worked closely with private investment firm Trinitas Partners which built a portfolio of over 10,000 acres of almonds throughout the state. Brandon played a significant role with Trinitas including managing and advising on due diligence, plant science, orchard development, orchard management, investor relations, and strategic planning. In his spare time, Brandon is a partner in Rebiero Brothers, LLC, a small almond grower in Stanislaus County, CA. As a small grower, he is still intimately involved in every aspect of the business from driving tractors to farm strategy.
Brandon attended Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo where he obtained a B.S. in Pomology and a Minor in Plant Protection Science. He completed the Blue Diamond Leadership program as well as the Almond Board of California Leadership Program. Brandon formerly served on the Production Research committee for the Almond Board of California.
Elyza is the Accounting Manager at Gold Leaf Farming, where she is responsible for accounting and reporting at all of our farms. Elyza’s past experience working at a CPA firm ensures our books are in order and we have reports we can use to make decisions across the company and on the farms.
Elyza graduated from CSU Stanislaus with her B.S. in Business Administration, concentrating in Accounting. In her free time you can catch her reading a book or spending time outdoors with her three dogs and husband.
Hyeong is an Asset Manager at GLF. Hyeong works on GLF’s farm sourcing and expansion efforts. Before GLF, Hyeong worked at Rothschild in Los Angeles focusing on technology, business services and consumer M&A and strategic advisory.
Hyeong graduated from Pomona College with a degree in Mathematics.
Jack is a Co-Founder and the CEO of GLF. Jack leads GLF’s investment efforts as well as the general management and operations of GLF. Since inception, GLF has purchased nearly 12,000 acres of farmland in the western US. Jack is an investor with experience working with and investing in businesses in the food and agriculture space, focusing on specialty crops over the last five years.
Before founding GLF, Jack was an investor at TPG, served as a policy advisor to Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel, and worked as a consultant at McKinsey & Company. He holds an MBA from Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business and a B.S. in Economics from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business.
Jackie is the Vice President of Operations, where she develops and leads the firm's farm operational strategy and is responsible for the entire farming team.
Before GLF, Jackie worked for Home Chef as the VP of Fulfillment, where she led the overall operational efforts in the production of e-commerce and retail meal kits across the country in addition to leading the company's logistics, skills training, and safety strategy. Prior to Home Chef, Jackie worked at Sysco Foods as a Food Safety Program Manager and Reinhart Foodservice where she held a number of different roles including being the Plant Manager of their custom cut meat processing plant.
Jackie earned her Master's degree from Michigan State University in Food Safety.
Jared is a Farm Manager at Gold Leaf Farming, where he manages farm operations for Northern California.
Prior to Gold Leaf, Jared worked for Wilbur-Ellis Company as a Pest Control Advisor (PCA), taking a care of almonds, walnuts, tomatoes, rice and alfalfa. At Wilbur-Ellis, Jared worked closely with Gold Leaf founder Brandon Rebiero advising Trinitas Partners and other larger growers.
Jared attended Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo and was a cadet in the Army R.O.T.C. program. Upon graduation he served as an Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Officer in the Army and deployed to Khost Province, Afghanistan
As Vice President of Acquisitions, Josh focuses on sourcing, assessing and capitalizing farmland investment opportunities. Josh also plays an important role in water strategy at Gold Leaf. Prior to Gold Leaf, Josh was a Senior Associate at Lightview Capital, a NY-based private equity firm focused on business services. Prior to Lightview, Josh worked as a turnaround specialist at Alvarez and Marsal. Josh started his career at Deutsche Bank.
Josh has a B.A. in Economics from Emory University and is working on his M.B.A. at Berkeley-Haas.
Kim is the VP of Finance at Gold Leaf. Kim leads GLF's operational accounting and finance team and manages information technology services. Prior to joining GLF in January 2024, Kim spent 5 years as CFO of Adams Extract & Spice, LLC, a private-equity-backed manufacturing company in the food & agricultural industry and one of Texas' oldest continually operated businesses. There, she led the company through significant growth, two private equity transactions, and onboarded a new ERP system. Before joining Adams, Kim served in the government sector as the CFO of a Texas public school for 10+ years and prior to that worked as an Auditor for BDO Seidman for 2 years.
Mackenzie is the Head of People at Gold Leaf Farming and leads the firm’s efforts to recruit top talent and deliver an exceptional, differentiated employment experience. Prior to joining Gold Leaf, Mackenzie held People & Culture roles at the world’s largest hedge fund, Bridgewater Associates, and led the build out of People functions at high growth VC-backed FinTech startups.
Mackenzie attended the University of Michigan where she earned a Master's of Management from the Ross School of Business and a B.A. in Communications and Psychology and captained the University’s DI Field Hockey team.
Oralia graduated from San Joaquin College in computer Administered business. She has worked in payroll and human resources for 27 years. She grew up in the central valley and actually worked in some of the fields around some of the orchards that we currently own.
In her spare time she enjoys watching her grandsons compete in BMX racing.
Oscar grew up around agriculture which contributed to his passion for farming. In his most recent years, he has really grown in the farming industry and brings forth a background in a variety of farming best practices. Oscar emphasises the importance of working hand in hand with the farm team because it contributes to success in reaching and expanding their goal of producing profitable and sustainable crops. He is keen on creating great relationships with new partners and improving operations to be more efficient and successful.
Ramon oversees Gold Leaf’s medjool date farms near Yuma, AZ.
Ramon has a background in ag technology, and is leading the charge as Gold Leaf uses technology to farm dates more sustainably and efficiently. As part of a new generation of farmers, Ramon understands the importance of transitioning to more tech-enabled practices (e.g., using drones, in-field sensors, etc.). His work background specializes in farm management, breeding, and experimental designs.
Born in Yuma, AZ and raised in the border towns of San Luis, AZ and San Luis Rio Colorado, Sonora, Mexico, Ramon had the opportunity to attend the Arizona Western College and the University of Arizona - Yuma Campus where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Technology Management.
Ryan is the Director of Farm Ops, managing farm operations for Central and Southern California.
Before joining Gold Leaf, Ryan worked as a tree nut grower and crop consultant in the Central Valley of California. For most of his career, Ryan worked with Gold Leaf founder Brandon Rebiero at Wilbur-Ellis advising Trinitas Partners and other California growers as an agronomist.
Ryan attended CSU Fresno State, where he obtained a B.S. in Plant Science – Plant Health. While attending Fresno State, Ryan first met Brandon working as his intern. Ryan grew up around ag where his family farms in the Oakdale area
Santiago grew up in Chile. At GLF, he splits his time between asset management and acquisitions as well as growth opportunities.
Before joining GLF in 2021, Santiago spent most of his time working for the Chilean government and telecom companies on infrastructure projects. He received an M.B.A. from Stanford Graduate School of Business and has a degree in Industrial and Transport Engineering from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.
Sawyer is a farm kid from Oregon's Willamette Valley, where his family continues to grow hazelnuts. He spends his time at Gold Leaf Farming split between acquiring new properties and leading operational initiatives with the farm team - especially those regarding the company's sustainability practices.
Before joining GLF, Sawyer served as an Intelligence Officer in the U.S. Army, bootstrapped and joined a couple startups, and completed a short stint in a family investment office. Sawyer received an MBA and MS in Environment & Resources from Stanford University, and a BA in Political Science from Pepperdine University.
Tanner focuses on growth strategy and new business opportunities at GLF. Prior to joining in 2022, he was a consultant at McKinsey& Co. where he also spent a year as Deputy Chief of Staff to the firm’s Global Managing Partner. He also spent a year as Chief of Staff to the CEO at an aerospace technology startup, Airspace Intelligence.
Tanner holds a B.S. in Finance and Economics from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business.
